Yesterday, December 5, 2017 We were invited to have a short talk about Komiks in the Philippine Science High School in Quezon City. I together with Dennis Sebastian, Richard Arquilla and Melvin Calingo had short talks about our komiks and experiences. It was such a nice experience and It was also my first time to be inside PSHS. I am looking forward for future talks about Komiks!
I did this Baboy Transformation art recently as I was asked to submit my original character art. I thought Baboy is possibly the reason why I am known in the local indie comics scene so I did an art of it. I used traditional media for line art and digital for colors. I like the result.
These are a couple of couple wedding caricatures I did last July. I really enjoyed working on these as they are all full of love. Very inspiring.
#inktober and Short Blog
This is my Inktober Post for Day 22. I’m really liking the habit it is giving me to finish an art a day. I also noticing how my art is improving bit by bit. This one I used the Elephant china ink that you can buy at National Book store. It feels different to use compared to my first dip pen ink Dr. Ph Martin’s Black Star. Black star is way more black. But I also like how cheap the Elephant brand is.
I finally able to finish pencilling my comic pages for Sikami 3. I am going to start inking today. Still a lot of time till Komikon which is really nice.
This baboy transformation will star on the DFA Exhibit this coming monday Oct 14! Watch out for more details. 🙂 Baboy is my first indie komiks released in Manila as I am provincial kid. Baboy made me and Indie Komiks someone, this particular art was done on a small piece of paper, then I decided to ink and color it. Enjoy!
For my daily Post, I am featuring the Baboy Art I did not so long ago. This was originally a sketch then I decided to ink and color it shortly after. I enjoyed doing this piece, just for me. If you want to read my Baboy Comics you can read it here.
