Eugene AKA Toto Madayag talked about His komik book libreng komiks, His signing in MIBF experience, His komiks journey, how to get viral on social media, crowd funding Libreng Komiks, His future plans for his comics, where he gets inspiration when making comics. Bonus treat, we also did our opening spiels in the call center! With spcial participation of Manong Taxi Driver, where he shared his comics memories of the past. We also spoke with Hikaru, a fan of libreng Komiks and also a comics creator.

Yesterday I went to the last day of the 2nd Komiket Komiks university. Where we taught about komiks creation, from story to the the artworks. It was a nice experience and I would like to do it again if given a chance.
Last December I got a message from a client and he wanted me to create a comics. I’ve always been drawing comics since I was younger so I accepted. Leonard wanted a Family Circus inspired cartoon. He gave me all the things that I needed, like reference images, sample comic, the script etc. I did the comic and he liked It a lot that he gave me a tip. In return I gave him a caricature portrait of his family.
I was delighted to see my name on this article of Adobo http://www.adobomagazine.com/philippine-news/komiket-awards-and-more-mark-2nd-komiket. It was really unexpected that among all the big names of the event we were included on the article.
Today I am scheduled to draw a lot! I need to catch up to my deadline so I can do other things. I recently got lots of order which is great! But I can’t do it all so I started referring work to my artist friends that I know are free.

Short Blog about Komiket 2016.
The 2nd Komiket was held yesterday, February 20,2016 in Elements Centris on Quezon Ave. Quezon City. It was a blast! I was there early around 6 in the morning to set up the tables and fix our stuff for selling. The day itself was great we met a lot people. We also managed to sell decent amount of komiks, stickers and prints. All is well. I was joined in the table by my friend and co-member of Pangalatoons, Kevin with his girl friend. It was lot of fun. After the event we had a great dinner at Shakey’s and head home. Now to prepare for Summer Komikon!
