I recently went to Toycon 2019 to cover to event. Thanks to Ian Velasquez for making it possible. Ian Velasquez is the great grand nephew of Tony Velasquez, which is regarded as the Father of Pinoy Comics. He is there to promote the Pinoy Komiks Classics exhibit which includes the works of Alfredo Alcala, Mars Ravelo, Steve Gan and Tony Velasquez. High light is the original arts of Tony Velasquez for everyone to enjoy. I will upload soon the Indie Komiks Podcast episode so watch out for it.

Yesterday we were invited to attend the Marvel Creative Day Out 2018 at De La Salle University College of Saint Benilde. The attendees as expected are students, some guest attendees and media. Last time I also went to Marvel Creative Day Out and I wasn’t able to meet any friend in komiks that much. This time It was like a mini Komik Convention. It was a fun event. Looking forward for 2018.
For the first time ever, the event will bring fans closer to their beloved universe by showcasing fashion and product design through Allen Au-Yeung, VP for Creative for Disney China. Pencillers Leinil Francis Yu and Harvey Francis Tolibao are back to share more tips and tricks, as well as give feedback on the Marvel-inspired submissions. The newly appointed Editor-in-Chief for Marvel Comics, C.B Cebulski, will also grace the event to give an overview on the direction of the Marvel Universe moving forward.
The event will be on January 10 from 9:30 to 5:30 PM at De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde.
Yesterday me and my fellow members of the Gwapings ng komiks attended the Warner TV Pop Expo 2017 at BGC High Street. It was such a fun event it was a bit rainy in the afternoon and evening but overall we enjoyed and met a lot of people. Shout out to Flipgeeks for taking care of us during the day! I’m excited for this bigger event next year!
