Last weekend, I joined Story Frame: A Shang Photowalk, and it was a fun and refreshing photography experience. One thing I especially enjoyed was having the chance to shoot inside the mall without worrying about being stopped by security guards (LOL).
The photowalk was led by Nelwin Uy, an internationally recognized photographer. Before we began, he shared valuable insights and practical shooting tips that helped set the tone for the activity.
We explored three different stations located both inside and outside the mall, each offering unique scenes and opportunities for composition. While many participants brought larger mirrorless cameras, I chose to use my compact Olympus Tough TG-5 point-and-shoot camera. Despite its size, it can shoot RAW, which gave me flexibility during post-processing.
This experience reminded me that photography is not always about having the biggest or most expensive camera. What matters more is the ability to observe, compose, and capture meaningful moments.
